CHOM also focuses on creating recovery residencies.
Geographical Reach
Cumberland, Penobscot, Lincoln, Kennebec, Knox, Hancock, York counties and beyond
Theory of Change
CHOM wants to end homelessness, and ensure every vulnerable individual has a stable place they can call home, every child has a safe environment to live in, and every person with a disabling condition has access to permanent housing that allows them to live their life to the fullest. CHOM will advocate for people with special needs and collaborate on their behalf to produce and maintain quality, community-based housing that fosters a sense of pride, dignity, and respect, while ensuring CHOM’s long-term sustainability.
People Served
Since CHOM’s inception, they have housed over 6,800 people, enabled over 1,200 people to own their own home, and supported 78% of people in their housing that have a disability.
